Laurel House Launches Friendship to Go

On Monday, June 11, 2012, Laurel House launched a new outbound meals initiative called Friendship to Go. This program, partially funded through a grant from CHEFA, will enable Laurel House to provide much needed nutrition and create opportunities to connect with Stamford residents that are coping with mental illness and in their homes. Each day’s lunch includes either a hot meal or a sandwich and salad alternative. Meals are delivered in individual containers that list nutritional information. On its first day, Friendship to Go delivered ten meals to local residents.
