Young Associates Cocktail Party
On Tuesday September 14, Laurel House hosted its first Young Associates event at Fountain Gallery in New York City. A group of about 40 people gathered to learn more about the work of Laurel House and the prevalence of mental illness. Many in the group agreed to join together to help break the silence, prejudice and stigma against those living with mental illness. This was an exciting and fun evening that promoted the fact that people living with mental illness can recover and want to be productive participating citizens. The group is planning a larger fun event with multiple performers in New York City, November 18, stay tuned for details.
