The Laurel House Thrift Store…a good deal for everyone.
Conveniently located at 501 Summer Street
in downtown Stamford, the Laurel House Thrift Store is open to
the general public and carries a wide array of previously owned
goods, furniture, clothing and household items at affordable
prices. We rely on donations of gently used items from Stamford,
Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Cos Cob, Rowayton, Greenwich, and
Old Greenwich. We will gladly pick up large donations from your
home (subject to availability of truck and driver). We also accept
items at the store, should you wish to drop them off.
Laurel House is a for impact 501(c) (3) organization, so your donation of goods is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All donated items are re-sold to the public or provided to Laurel House members for a nominal fee. Proceeds from the store support Laurel House programs and services that benefit people with serious mental illness.
At our Thrift Store, Laurel House members work side-by-side with
community volunteers in every aspect of store operations, including
sales, pricing, inventory care and display, pick-ups, deliveries,
and storefront maintenance. The store provides an ideal opportunity
for our members to develop and strengthen skills that will benefit
them in a paying job, while working with the public and volunteers.
The Laurel House Thrift Store is open from 10 AM to 4 PM Monday through Saturday. To schedule a pickup or inquire about volunteering opportunities, please call us at (203) 327-7334.
