Position Title : Development Associate

Reports to : Donor Relations Manager

Essential Functions:
  • Manage all aspects of the Salsa CRM donor database (timely and accurate data entry, producing donor acknowledgement letters, running reports, keeping data up to date).
  • Support Development Department fundraising campaigns and events using social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and digital marketing.

Scope:

The Development Associate is responsible for administration of CRM database of donations and acknowledgement correspondence. He/she supports all Development Department functions and initiatives, including correspondence to donors, as directed by management.

Position Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in use of Salsa CRM software. Perform all aspects of CRM donor database management (e.g., history of longest donors; donors by town); ensure accurate and timely data entry and data hygiene, including 48-hour donation acknowledgement.
  • Provide administrative support for Development Department as needed for external communications and other marketing deliverables such as periodic newsletter.
  • Implement effective solicitations for Annual Appeal and specialized campaigns (e.g., November National Giving Day, Fairfield County Gives Day in spring) as directed by Manager. Perform data hygiene and pull targeted mailing lists/emails for campaigns.
  • Support Manager as needed in working with website contractor to update/refresh copy for programs and campaigns on www.laurelhouse.net.
  • Actively participate with the Development Department in planning and execution of fundraising and cultivation events (e.g., book promotion, family networking events, etc.) when in-person events are permitted.
