Laurel House Receives Grant from Stamford Rotary Trust Fund

STAMFORD — Laurel House, a Stamford-based nonprofit providing resources for people living with mental illness, was recently awarded a $10,000 grant by the Stamford Rotary Trust fund.The grant will be used to help fund www.rtor.org, a privately funded free online service meant to help families and individuals affected by mental health concerns connect with treatments and services. On the site, patients and families can contact a resource specialist for personalized help with a problem, get information on best practices or consult the Directory of Family-Endorsed Providers for recommendations on vetted programs and practitioners.

 
The Stamford Rotary Trust Fund was established in 1961 by the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Stamford for educational, charitable, scientific and literary purposes. The fund is meant to serve Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.
