STAMFORD — Laurel House, a Stamford-based nonprofit providing resources for people living with mental illness, was recently awarded a $10,000 grant by the Stamford Rotary Trust fund. The grant will be used to help fund www.rtor.org, a privately funded free online service meant to help families and individuals affected by mental health concerns connect with treatments and services. On the site, patients and families can contact a resource specialist for personalized help with a problem, get information on best practices or consult the Directory of Family-Endorsed Providers for recommendations on vetted programs and practitioners.
