Laurel House, Inc. Awarded Mobile Employment Services Grant 

Stamford, CT – Laurel House was recently awarded a two-year Mobile Employment Services grant of $100,000 a year by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).

 The funding will be used to provide onsite employment services to individuals in recovery from opioid use disorders, living in recovery homes, halfway houses, and supported recovery housing. Laurel House is one of five organizations statewide who were selected by DMHAS in the competitive bid process.

 Laurel House will provide Mobile Employment Services to help individuals 18 and older with substance use disorders, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, re-integrate into the community.  Program participants can select employment options consistent with their abilities, interests and achievements, and take the necessary steps to attain specific employment and educational objectives. Services will be conducted onsite at identified DMHAS funded locations, and will include engagement activities and job services that result in competitive employment.
